Lyle Workman - Superbad [SOUNDTRACK] [2007]

Review by Andrew Shaffer “www.orderofstandrew.com”

This soundtrack features funk classics alongside new material by Bootsy Collins. Unlike most movie soundtracks, “Superbad” is an instant classic that actually stands on its own without foreknowledge of the film. A fun, “superfunky” album!

One note for fans of the film: There are several songs from key points in the movie missing from the soundtrack, among those Ted Nugent’s “Stranglehold,” the Guess Who’s “These Eyes,” the Coup’s “Pork and Beef,” Van Halen’s “Panama,” and “Are You Man Enough” by the Four Tops. I’m guessing that they didn’t include these songs (among others) because of the cost of licensing and/or they don’t match the funk overtones of the album. If you’re looking for the “missing” songs, I suggest grabbing them from iTunes and mixing them with this album to make your own compilation.

Craig David - Unbelievable [2006]

"Unbelievable" is the third single from British R&B artist Craig David's third album The Story Goes.... The third single from The Story Goes... was rumoured to be a double A-side of fan-favourites, "Hypnotic" and "Jonny", however it was "Unbelievable" that was chosen. It became one of David's smallest hits to date, peaking at #18 in the UK and #82 in Australia. The disappointing performance of the song in the UK, where the first two singles charted in the top five, led "Unbelievable" to be the final single from The Story Goes...
